Cycle: Supression check is tomorrow morning. Lets hope I'm all suppressed. The Lupron headache arrived on Friday and seems to be here to stay. Thank goodness I read other people's infertility blogs enough to know that this is normal.

Yarn projects: The baby-sweater-from-patterned-sock-yarn project has picked up a bit. I had been feeling rather thwarted by it. First I had managed to get the yarn in a horrible tangle trying to make sure I was starting in the same place in the pattern for both sleeves. (I'm doing sleeves first.) During a gaming run firstfrost undid my tangle, because she is just way cool that way. Then I was happily knitting along, only to discover after a few inches (much yardage later, this is fingerling weight yarn!) that I had not started in the same place after all. It had looked good. Blue, white, blue, white, blue, brown, blue, brown, blue .... then brown on one and green on the other. Argh! I was swearing "never again", but of course I am way too stubborn to give up on a knitting project that I already have the yarn for, and now that I seem to be in synch on both sleeves its looking darn cute. Maybe cute enough to tempt me to do it again sometime in spite of the sock yarn hassles. Its especially nice for a little boy. The main color looks exactly like faded jeans, and the stripes are in white, brown, pale green and pale blue. I'll take a picture soon and post it. Also in yarn project we have many squares being made for a cotton kid afghan.

Nephew: I have managed to mind control my sister into getting a Flickr account, so pictures are now available of the intended recipient of the above mentioned yarn projects. My parents have been visiting Margaret this past week. Dad goes home today, but Mom stays another week.

Yeah, those little sweaters are looking pretty tempting. My godson might need one. :)

I'm looking forward to the picture.

Speaking of yarn and faded jeans, I just finished knitting Blu for the baby my assistant is expecting. I just need to wash them and then do the sewing up and embroidery. Her birthday is on Thursday, so I'm going to give them to her then (since I can't stand to wait longer than that - the baby's not due until August). They were super easy, and turned out great. The 3-6 mo size used just under two balls of yarn. I recommend them to anyone looking for a baby project, especially for a little boy.

Almost sounds like manual striping would be easier than trying to get a match with the prestriped yarn?
