Dear Leader

Note to Self: Stop asking Rhetorical Questions

Margaret (raising her arms and facing her high chair): Up!

I lift her into the chair She stays there contentedly for maybe 20 seconds.

Margaret (raising her arms out to me): Up!

I pick her up put her in my lap. She stays there for 30 seconds before wiggling onto the floor.

Margaret (raising her arms and facing her high chair): Up!

I lift her into the chair She stays there contentedly for maybe 20 seconds.

Margaret (holding her arms out over empty space): Up dow!

I lift her out of the chair and put her down on the ground, where she runs around for about 30 seconds before starting the whole thing over again. We iterate through this several times.

Me (getting tired): Margaret, can you say ‘fickle’?

Margaret: Ickle… Up!
