Status Update

Things have progressed in the past week. After my first full day at the office Margaret decided that taking a bottle was a reasonable alternative to going hungry in my absence. She now regularly takes 10 to 12 ounces of pumped milk a day. Now that she's made that transition we are looking for new ways to rock her world, like maybe making her sleep in her crib rather than the car seat.

I think work is busy. I feel like I am being more productive than I was before I went on maternity leave, and yet my to-do list is growing at an alarming rate. I am hoping that this means that this is just an especially busy time, because I would hate to think that I am just mistaken because my brain is all mushy now. Also, what is with the guy next to me who waited until I was on maternity leave to complain about the sound my Sun box was making? It had been making that self same sound for well over a year before I went into labor, why wait until I was out to start vocal complaints?

I am now 10 pounds lighter than I was at retrieval. Yay! Another 15 pounds and my body should be back to matching my self-image as a slender person. Here's hoping I don't stall out.
