The Pukopalyse
Margaret and I both got Duncan's stomach bug. Margaret succumbed early Sunday Morning, and I came down with it late Sunday evening. Based on Duncan's experience it looks like we're in for 48 hours of unpleasantness. At least the experience has been honing Margaret's language skills: "I puke again." No kidding. At least now I can keep water down in small quantities. Last night... well last night I had stuff coming out both ends literally at the same time, and I couldn't even keep a sip of water down. Since I'm breastfeeding and normally drink water a pint at a go this was NOT GOOD. I took the day off work, and given what's been happening to the kids, I don't plan to eat anything solid until some time tomorrow, because the point of eating is for the stuff to stay down.

Oh, no! If it's possible to get to an urgent care (or, in a pinch, an ER), they might be able to put a bag of saline into you to keep you from getting dehydrated. I know I've had pregnant friends do that when they couldn't keep anything down. Take care of yourself!

How are you feeling once you've both made it through your 48 hours?

Hoping for an improvement (and that Warren doesn't get it too).

I got it too - in my case, diarrhea accompanied by extremely painful cramping and a day's worth of headache. I was feeling pretty much well yesterday, but a visit by a chimney sweep today who stank strongly of cigarette smoke and wanted a lot of interaction set it off again.

Elizabeth seems to be better and her supply is coming back.

Ah, Norwalk virus, how we hate you so.
