An interesting footnote is that she is wearing the "bribe" jacket that I knit during IVF #1. It was a bribe because it was hoped that a nice hand-knit sweater might entice an embryo into sticking. Ha. I knit no baby clothes during IVF #4 or IVF #5, the ones that proved successful. Why did I knit something that a 15 month could wear? Well, that was supposed to be the 3-6 month size. I did check my gauge, and some of the patterns I've knit from the same book with the same yarn fit the sizes they are supposed to fit and some do not. I think the Debbie Bliss Baby Knits book is just a bit erratic on the sizing, and I have no intention to use its patterns for garments again. Now that I have an actual baby I much prefer Simple Knits for Cherished Babies by Erica Knight. The patterns may look simple and not very exciting for experience knitters, but they have the huge advantage of fitting well and working well on actual babies.
In other news, Margaret uses utensils when eating.
She can also get my handbag open and get my wallet out...
And I can't post the next picture in the series for security reasons, but please take my word that she can then identify the most important piece of plastic in there from the other dozens of cards, so pretend there is a picture here of her happily waving my debit card.
